But the four Gospels, though designedly incomplete as a story, are divinely perfect as a revelation. We may not through them know everything that He did, but we may know the Doer. In four great characters, each of which completes the other three, we have Jesus Christ Himself. The Evangelists never describe Christ -they set Him forth. The genealogy and Nativity of Jesus are described in two of the four canonical gospels: the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke. While Luke traces the genealogy upwards towards Adam and God, Matthew traces it downwards towards Jesus. Both gospels state that Jesus was begotten not by Joseph, but conceived miraculously in the womb of Mary, mother of Jesus by the Holy Spirit.
Faith in Jesus Christ helps us receive spiritual and physical healing through His Atonement (see 3 Nephi –14). When times of trial come, faith can give us strength to press forward and face our hardships with courage. Even when the future seems uncertain, our faith in the Savior can give us peace (see Romans ; Helaman ). Afterward, Jesus himself, through them, sent out from east to west the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation. The Gospel According to St. Mark The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
The Jesus of the lost gospels is very different. Instead of the suffering, son of God, they depict a divine being whose sayings revealed mysterious secrets. Through the four gospels, God gives us four different portraits of Jesus, each revealing a unique perspective of our Lord. In Matthew, we find Jesus as the Sovereign King, the Lord prophesied through the Old Testament prophets. Matthew emphasizes the fact that Jesus is the Messianic Savior and has come to earth to lead His Kingdom.

Although the Gospel is ostensibly written by St. John the Apostle, “the beloved disciple” of Jesus, there has been considerable discussion of the actual. The gospel accounts of Jesus are too rich and varied to harmonise into a simple, lone account. Though this is a single book, this chronological attempt does not resort to a single narrative.
Every word of the gospels is included and put in a chronological order to try to build a flowing picture of Jesus. For example, the Gospel of John is similar to the Synoptic Gospels in that all four of the Gospel books tell the story of Jesus Christ.
Each Gospel proclaims that story through a narrative lens (through stories, in other words), and both the Synoptic Gospels and John include the major categories of Jesus' life—His birth, His public ministry, His death on the cross, and His resurrection from.
